Years Flying: 42 Favorite airplane you’ve ever flown: T-6 Texan (and B-2 Bomber Sim!) Aviation Background: CFI Since 1976. Chief Pilot at Navy Flying Clubs in Great Lakes, Il, and Naple, Italy. Taught at FBO’s in North Carolina, California, Florida, and Washington. Airplane owner x2 currently a Cessna 172 Aviation Philosophy: Take-offs are optional - Landings are mandatory. Exercise your options as often as you can! Why do you instruct? I love passing on the love of flying, especially the old fashion low-tech kind. What made you want to learn to fly? I was a Civil Air Patrol Cadet, ready for all new adventures. Best Aviation Related Experience / Memory: 1) 17 year old cadet, newly minted Private Pilot flying Art Linkletter’s Learjet at 22,000 over Lake Tahoe. 2) Flying the Swedish Viggen Jet Fighter– Trainer, every which way but Loose! |
