Aviation Background: 

Received my PPL during college.  Joined the Navy and flew tactical aircraft for 19 years.  It was a honor to serve my country in such a exciting and dynamic way.

 

Aviation Philosophy: 

Altitude and Airspeed = Options

 

Why do you instruct?

To share the joy of learning a new skill and the since of accomplishment when someone realizes they can actually fly an aircraft.

 

What made you want to learn to fly? 

Honestly, I don't know.  From an early age I wanted to be in the military yet I did not want to fly.  One morning in the 9th grade I woke up and decided I wanted to be a pilot.  From that morning it was a goal of mine to be a pilot. I can only attribute it to a God given desire.  I am thankful to fulfilled the dream.

 

Best Aviation Related Experience / Memory: 

One of the best memories was flying back from a mission with one of my best friends and doing low level training in the restricted area.
